WASHINGTON (AP) ? For President Barack Obama, winning re-election rests on a workman-like, get-out-the-vote strategy aimed at protecting key territory in the Midwest, ramping up minority turnout and building early voting leads that could protect against a late surge by Republican challenger Mitt Romney.
It's a far cry from the lofty rhetoric and gauzy closing argument advertisements that defined Obama's final push in 2008. And it's a reflection of a race that remains tight in its final days, and an outcome that could hinge on little more than battleground state turnout.
"We have two jobs: One, persuade the undecideds, and two, to turn our voters out," said Jim Messina, Obama's data-driven campaign manager.
Obama himself has gotten deeply involved in those efforts. He made a personal appeal to 9,000 undecided voters on a conference call from Air Force One, promoted early voting by casting his own ballot before Election Day and offered encouragement to staff and volunteers during numerous stops to battleground state campaign offices.
"I hate to put the burden of the entire world on you, but basically it's all up to you," Obama told volunteers this week in Orlando, Fla. His comments were meant to be light-hearted, but they spoke to the degree to which his campaign is counting on its massive ground game to carry Obama to re-election.
The campaign relied heavily on that operation this week when Superstorm Sandy forced Obama off the campaign trail and back to Washington for three days to oversee the federal response. The Democratic get-out-the-vote effort kept churning, allowing Obama to project presidential leadership and offer comfort in a crisis ? intangibles his campaign knows could be beneficial in persuading late-breaking voters.
They helped him win over at least one person: New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, an independent, who said Obama's handling of the storm was key his decision to endorse the president.
Obama, in his closing argument to voters, is trying to burnish his bipartisan credentials, seeking to convince voters he's the same man who burst into the political spotlight eschewing the notion of red states or blue states.
Polls show Obama and Romney tied nationally. But the president's advisers say the map of competitive states tilts in their favor. The president started the race with more pathways than Romney for reaching the required 270 Electoral College votes, and aides say all of those options are still within reach. Romney's campaign, on the other hand, is still grappling for a clear roadmap to 270.
Nine states are up for grabs: Ohio, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Iowa, Wisconsin, Colorado and Nevada.
Key to Obama's electoral strategy is protecting a Midwestern firewall: Ohio, Iowa and Wisconsin, a three-state combination that would put him over the necessary threshold. The president will visit those states multiple times in the campaign's final stretch, including four straight days of travel to Ohio.
Obama can win without Ohio. But if he does carry the state's 18 electoral votes, it would make Romney's path to victory far more difficult, requiring the Republican to win nearly every other competitive state or pull off upsets in traditionally Democratic states.
Private polling from both parties has Obama leading Romney in Ohio, where the president's bailout of the auto industry is popular. And more Democrats than Republicans in the state have cast early votes.
Romney's campaign is looking to expand the battleground map by making a late play for a trio of left-leaning states: Pennsylvania, Michigan and Minnesota. That's forced Obama's team to buy television advertising time in states where it had hoped to avoid spending money.
Obama aides insist it's not in trouble in those states and aides say there are no plans for Obama or Vice President Joe Biden to travel there in the campaign's closing days. Instead, they say their strong fundraising efforts have given them the financial means to defend against Romney's criticism wherever he decides to run ads.
But aides say turnout, not ads, will determine the election. Obama's team has put particular emphasis on ramping up turnout during early voting periods, especially among "sporadic" voters who may be less likely to go to the polls on Election Day.
Their efforts appear to be bearing fruit. Democrats have an edge in votes cast in Florida, Iowa, Nevada, North Carolina and Ohio. Republicans have an advantage in Colorado.
Obama's campaign says boosting early vote totals could put some states out of reach for Romney even before Election Day. In Ohio, for example, Obama aides estimate the Republican would need to carry at least 53 percent of the vote cast there on Tuesday in order to remain in contention.
It's more than just party registration that has Obama's team feeling confident. They tout data showing two-third of those who have already voted were women, young people, blacks and Hispanics. Obama is almost certain to win the majority of those voting blocs.
Aides say minority voting in particular is on track to reach an all-time high, perhaps as high as 28 percent of all voters.

Both sides of Mali crisis in Burkina Faso talks
OUAGADOUGOU, Burkina Faso (AP) ? Opposing sides in Mali's crisis have arrived in Burkina Faso for talks with President Blaise Compaore, who is trying to mediate a solution to the conflict.
A top Malian government official and a delegation from an Islamist extremist group controlling northern Mali both arrived in Ouagadougou Saturday to meet with Compaore.
The meetings appear to be part of a new, regional attempt to set up negotiations to resolve the Mali crisis. The northern Mali Islamists also consulting with Algerian officials in Algiers.
Alghabass Ag Intalla, a top official of the radical group Ansare Dine, told The Associated Press Saturday that he is in Ouagadougou as the head of a delegation meeting with Compaore, who has been appointed by the Economic Community of West African States to mediate in the Mali crisis.
Mali's foreign affairs minister, Moctar Ouane, also arrived in Ouagadougou Saturday for talks with Compaore.
Compaore is working to establish negotiations to resolve the problems caused by the Islamists' separation of northern Mali from the rest of the country.
Compaore's talks with Ansar Dine and Malian government officials appear to be trying to avoid a military intervention in northern Mali. France heads an international effort planning a military campaign to end the Islamists' occupation of northern Mali. Ansar Dine is the most powerful of the groups that have seized control of northern Mali, including the fabled city of Timbuktu, and have imposed strict Shariah law over the sprawling desert territory.
Burkina Faso has been trying to negotiate with the Islamists in northern Mali for a few months. In August Foreign Affairs Minister Djibrill Bassole travelled to northern Mali cities of Gao and Kidal, which are controlled by the Islamists. In Kidal, the Burkinabe minister met with the leader of Ansar Dine, Iyad Ag Gali. The Burkina Faso envoy urged Ansar Dine to distance itself from other hardliners, fundamentalists and terrorist groups operating in northern Mali.
Ansar Dine is also having consultations with Algeria, where Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb has its base and which shares a long border with Mali, according to an Algerian diplomatic official. The official stressed that the meetings are not negotiations but said that Algeria can serve as a "facilitator" to help resolve the Mali crisis. The official was not authorized to speak publicly and asked not to be named.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton met last week with Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika for a discussion about Mali. Algeria had been dragging its feet on the question of an intervention in Mali by African nations and Clinton said the Algerian leader appeared to caution against rash action.

Obama's job creation record, at a glance
President Barack Obama entered the White House just as U.S. companies were brutally slashing jobs. In the past two years, the economy has slowly regained those jobs. That has left Obama with a small net gain of jobs during his term.
The worst month of the recession was January 2009, when employers cut 818,000 positions. It was also when Obama entered the White House. Over the next three months, employers cut 2.2 million more jobs. The cuts continued through February 2010. By then, the economy had shed 4.3 million jobs.
Businesses began to steadily add jobs in March 2010. In the 32 months since then, the economy has regained 4.9 million jobs. That includes 368,000 jobs that the Labor Department has said were added in the year that ended in March 2012, but that it hasn't assigned to specific months yet.
The net result is that the economy has added 562,000 jobs during Obama's time in the White House. The economy has added almost that many in just the past three months.
Obama's total compares with a net loss of 13,000 jobs in President George W. Bush's first term, from 2001 through 2005. Bush added 1.1 million in his second term. Job gains under President Bill Clinton totaled 11.5 million in his first term and 11.2 million jobs in his second.

Obama and Romney tied in poll three days before election
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney remain essentially tied in the race for the White House with razor thin margins in four key swing states, according to a Reuters/Ipsos daily tracking poll released on Saturday.
Three days before the November 6 election, both men are neck and neck in Ohio, Florida, Virginia and Colorado, the poll showed.
Nationally, the electorate is divided. Of likely voters polled, 47 percent said they would back Obama, the Democratic incumbent, while 46 percent said they would back Romney, the former Massachusetts governor.
The results fall within the polls' credibility interval, a tool used to account for statistical variation in Internet-based polls.
The two men have been locked in a tight race for weeks. Both are doing final campaign swings over the weekend, trying to sway a small group of remaining undecided voters and to encourage their supporters to get to the polls.
A handful of states that traditionally swing between voting for Republican and Democratic presidential candidates will determine who wins the White House. All of them are close.
In one of the biggest prizes of the election - Ohio - Obama has a very slight lead over Romney with 46 percent compared to 45 percent support among likely voters, the poll showed.
In Florida, another big prize, they are tied at 47 percent.
In Virginia, Obama leads Romney 48 percent to 45 percent among likely voters. In Colorado, Romney leads Obama 47 percent to 45 percent.
"It's really going to come down to the wire," said Ipsos pollster Julia Clark, adding that Obama still had a better likelihood of winning the 270 state electoral votes needed to secure victory.
But with the data tight in the swing states for both candidates, she added: "I don't think we can count any of them in the bag yet."
"The electoral map does favor Obama," Clark said. "It's just so on a razor's edge."
The precision of the Reuters/Ipsos online polls is measured using a credibility interval, which in the case of the national poll is plus or minus 3.4 percentage points for likely voters.

Tower Group Sells Health Insurance Arm For $102... | Stuff.co.nz
Tower Group shareholders are in for a windfall as the company sells its health insurance arm for $102 million.
Tower Medical has been bought by ASX-listed health insurer NIB, subject to clearance from the Overseas Investment Office.
Tower Group managing director Rob Flannagan said all proceeds would be returned to shareholders, and possibly more.
The company had been criticised for being too conservative, which in the current climate was not a bad thing, he said.
But ''a lot of shareholders have said that we've had too much capital, which is correct. So we wanted to send a signal to our shareholders that we would be repaying capital and the minimum amount that we would repay would be the amount we're receiving from these proceeds.''
Flannagan said the payout would depend on how the business environment looked when the transaction was settled, but it would not be less than $102m.
Critics of Tower have expressed concerns that its four businesses lack scale and Flannagan himself in a press release said Tower Medical was being sold because it did not think it could achieve the necessary scale or return needed in the near future.
But he denied the company was in break-up mode. Tower had been talking to NIB for three years and other interested parties had emerged as it conducted a strategic review.
There was ''still a? bit of clutter'' to sort through as a result, but nothing concrete and the other businesses were in good shape regardless.
''We have a view of where Tower should be in three years time and that decision is sort of made. Now we're not announcing that until the annual general meeting early next year.
''But there's not a focus to break up the group because Tower will be here in the long term, as far as I'm concerned.''
Flannagan said analysts were valuing Tower too low and released guidance to give the market an indication of its health.
He expected Tower's group net profit after tax to range around $51m to $56m, exceeding the upper end of published analyst ranges.
BT Funds analyst Matt Goodson said Tower appeared to have sold the medical arm slightly cheaper than its embedded value of $119m.
But health insurance was a tough business, with mutual company Southern Cross as a major competitor.
He thought it was ''interesting'' that both the share prices of Tower and NIB were up on the announcement.
NIB had risen 5 per cent and Tower was up 1.5 per cent to a year high of $1.96, a marked improvement from $1.35 a year ago.
''Tower's problem has been it has four sub-scale businesses - health insurance, life, general and funds management - and each of those potentially, maybe there's higher value in being owned by another party,'' Goodson noted.
''So it's good to see they've moved on this.''

UK politician accused of sexually abusing boys

The BBC current affairs program "Newsnight" on Friday night aired allegations that a senior Conservative politician from the Margaret Thatcher era had sexually abused boys in the 1970s and 1990s as part of a scandal involving children's homes in North Wales.
But the BBC stopped short of naming the politician, bringing a torrent of tweets criticizing its report.
Earlier Friday,?The Telegraph newspaper reported that? former Newsnight presenter Michael Crick tweeted: "'Senior political figure' due to be accused tonight by BBC of being paedophile denies allegations + tells me he'll issue libel writ agst BBC."
A subsequent tweet read: "The senior political figure due to be accused paedophile activity by BBC tonight tells me that he still hasn't heard from them for response."
In a later post on its website, the BBC said the allegations arose from a?scandal alleging child sexual abuse at children's homes in North Wales in the 1970s and 1980s that started coming to light in the early 1990s. The allegations led to investigations and a government-ordered inquiry, the 2000 Waterhouse Tribunal.
In the Newsnight segment, a man said he had been repeatedly abused by the politician in the late 1970s. Steve Messham claimed that he had been abused "more than a dozen times" and that when he finally went to the police, "I was called a liar." He called for a new investigation.?
Newsnight said a man claiming that he also had been abused by the politician had been interviewed for BBC radio in 2000. Newsnight said it had not been able to find the man for its report, but it provided an unusual dramatization of the man's radio interview.
According to the dramatization, the man said he had gone to North Wales police but had been told there wasn't enough evidence.

On Thursday, British police arrested comedian Freddie Starr as part of an investigation triggered by allegations that the late BBC presenter Jimmy Savile sexually abused hundreds of children, according to media reports.
The allegations have shaken Britain's state-funded broadcaster, with hundreds of people now coming forward to report abuse dating back over several decades by Savile, a household name in Britain.
Lawyers representing some of the victims have said their clients indicated an organized pedophile ring involving celebrities existed at the BBC during the height of Savile's fame in the 1970s and 1980s.
'A steep fall' for BBC as child sex abuse scandal rocks the UK
On Sunday, police arrested glam rock singer and convicted sex offender Gary Glitter, born Paul Gadd, as part of the Savile investigation. He was released on bail.
BBC Director General George Entwistle and his predecessor, Mark Thompson, incoming chief executive officer of the New York Times Co., have come under heavy criticism for their handling of suspicions about Savile.
A BBC investigation into Savile was dropped last year, when Thompson was at the helm. It took a rival network, ITV, to uncover the scandal. Thompson has said he did not know about the program's investigation and had no involvement in the decision to axe the report.
It?s still not clear why the well-regarded show "Newsnight" dropped the investigation, and there is no suggestion that either Thompson or Entwistle were involved in a cover up. But, on top of the BBC?s failure to stop Savile, its shelving of his investigation has shocked the UK. The BBC?s journalism is fiercely independent; its own journalists have done much to make the Savile story headline news, but many of the questions are about the competency of BBC's management rather than individual reporters and producers.

Jeweller Michael Hill International is ramping up global expansion as it also undertakes a major international refurbishment of its existing 252 stores.
The NZX-listed company, which opened 15 stores in 2012, plans to open further 20 stores this financial year to June 2013, mainly in its largest market Australia and the growing Canadian market.
Chief executive Mike Parsell told shareholders at today's annual meeting that the company now has 153 stores in Australia, 53 in New Zealand, 37 in Canada and 9 in the United States. Parsell said the company aims to open one store a year in New Zealand in the next three years and 10 each year in Australia and Canada. The store refurbishment will be a "major leap forward" and will incorporate multimedia screens and hand-held technology for staff, Parsell said.
The company's strategy in the competitive US market had "a long way to go".
"We're still really in test mode there," he said. "We don't feel we're in a position to grow."
The company this year reported a net profit of $36.5 million, up 6 per cent on the previous year on group sales of $511.5m for the year to June 30. Last month it reported first quarter sales to September 30 rose $116.4m, up 14.3 per cent on the same period last year. The key December quarter, which includes Christmas sale,s will determine the group's result for the year, said Parsell.
Chairman Sir Michael Hill said that while trading conditions were trying in all its markets, there remained good potential for growth.
"There's so much opportunity out there for us but we need to keep it simple," he said.
"New Zealand is probably tougher than it's ever been but we're above that. Australia has been really tough which hit last September but things are coming right there. North America is always bloody hard."

Former Penn State President Graham Spanier was charged Thursday with hushing up child molestation allegations against Jerry Sandusky, making him the third school official charged in the alleged cover-upThe highest-ranking?Pennsylvania State?University?official charged in the explosive case, Spanier, 64, was accused of child endangerment, perjury and criminal conspiracy, all felonies. He also faces misdemeanor counts of failure to report suspected abuse, conspiracy and obstruction of the administration of law.
"This is not a mistake, an oversight or a misjudgment. This was a conspiracy of silence by top officials at Penn State, working to actively conceal the truth, with total disregard to the suffering of children," Attorney General Linda Kelly told a news conference.
Two other officials, Athletic Director?Tim Curley?and retired Vice President?Gary Schultz, also face new charges of child endangerment, criminal conspiracy and obstruction. They were charged in November 2011 with failure to report suspected abuse and perjury, and both have pleaded not guilty.
Sandusky, 68, a former assistant coach in Penn State's powerhouse?football program, was convicted in June of molesting 10 boys over a 15-year period in a scandal that rocked college sports and focused national attention on child sex abuse.
He was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison, effectively a life sentence.
Trustees fired Spanier and revered head football coach?Joe Paterno?in November 2011 in the wake of the charges against Sandusky. Paterno died in January.
Spanier, Curley and Schultz, whose job included heading the university police, are accused of concealing information about suspected abuse involving Sandusky, Kelly said.
The abuse included on-campus incidents in 1998 and 2001 that the three men discussed in detail, she said.
Office file
Kelly said a grand jury issued a subpoena in December 2010 but relevant emails and other evidence were not turned over until April 2012, after the three men had left their jobs.
Schultz kept a file about the 1998 and 2001 incidents involving Sandusky at his campus office and told staff members never to look in the file, Kelly said.
It was removed from the office on the day charges against Sandusky were announced and delivered to Schultz's home.

New estimate for economic damage from storm: $50B
The total economic damage from Superstorm Sandy could run as high as $50 billion, according to new estimates from the forecasting firm Eqecat. That would make it the second-costliest storm in U.S. history after Hurricane Katrina.
The new numbers Eqecat released Thursday are more than double the firm's previous estimate.
Eqecat said Sandy may have caused between $30 billion and $50 billion in total economic losses, including property damage, lost business and extra living expenses. The cost to insurance companies could run as low as $10 billion and as high as $20 billion.
The firm pointed to two reasons that Sandy will leave a bigger bill than it first thought. Power outages are more widespread than in a typical Category 1 storm, Eqecat said. Sandy knocked out electricity for more homes and businesses than any other storm in history, according to the Department of Energy.
The lack of subway service in New York City and blocked roadways will also push the total cost higher, Eqecat said.
Before the storm hit, Eqecat had estimated that total economic losses from Sandy could range as high as $20 billion and that losses to insurance companies could reach $10 billion. Payouts for insurance claims are typically a fraction of the overall cost to the economy.
If the damages run into the high end of Eqecat's estimates, it would make Sandy the second-costliest U.S. storm after Katrina in 2005. Katrina's overall costs were $108 billion, which would be the equivalent of $128 billion today.
Even after adjusting for inflation, the high end of Eqecat's damage estimates for Sandy would be higher than those caused by previous major storms. Andrew, which struck in 1992, cost $44 billion in today's dollars, and the Ike storm of 2008 cost $32 billion.
Another major firm that calculates the cost of catastrophes, RMS, is gathering information before it makes its first estimate. RMS said Thursday that it has two reconnaissance teams out surveying the damage. The firm has offices in Hoboken, N.J., where floodwaters stranded thousands of people.

U.S. power market regulator seeks $470 million from Barclays
(Reuters) - U.S. federal energy regulators threatened to fine Barclays roughly $470 million to settle allegations that the bank and four traders manipulated California energy markets from November 2006 to December 2008.
In a potentially record penalty that could eclipse fines over rigging the inter-bank lending rate known as Libor, the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission said Barclays has 30 days to show why it should not be penalized for an alleged scheme of manipulating physical electricity markets in order to benefit from related positions in the swaps market.
Barclays reiterated that it "strongly disagreed" with the findings and was ready to fight the order, which it said was "by nature a one-sided document, and does not reflect a balanced and full description of the facts."
"We believe that our trading was legitimate and in compliance with applicable law," Barclays spokesman Mark Lane said in an email. "We have cooperated fully with the FERC investigation, which relates to trading activity that occurred several years ago. We intend to vigorously defend this matter."
It is the latest blow for the British bank, which has fired staff, clawed back pay and taken other disciplinary action after being fined $450 million by U.S. and British regulators over Libor.
Earlier on Wednesday Barclays announced that the U.S. Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission were probing whether it was complying with U.S. laws in its relationships with third parties who help it win or retain business.
The FERC order suggests the agency was unable to reach a settlement with Barclays through negotiations, indicating the issue is likely to head toward an administrative court, says Craig Pirrong, an expert in energy trade regulation.
BOLD FERC
Wednesday's order is the boldest move yet from the FERC, which won expanded powers to tackle manipulation in 2005 after the California power trading scandal and Enron meltdown.
Just months after reaching a record $245 million settlement with power company Constellation Energy over similar allegations, the agency is pursuing advanced enquiries into several big energy firms and banks, including BP, JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank, according to notices.
"FERC is getting tougher," said Pirrong. He cautioned that there are "factual and conceptual challenges" in proving manipulation in court, but that isn't stopping the agency.
"It is going to town on this theory of manipulation, and I would wager that any firm that traded both physical and financial power is at risk of a similar FERC action."
The FERC Office of Enforcement staff alleged Barclays engaged in a coordinated scheme to manipulate trading at four electricity trading points in the Western United States.
Specifically, Office of Enforcement staff allege that "Barclays engaged in loss-generating trading of next-day fixed-price physical electricity on the IntercontinentalExchange at the locations of Mid-Columbia, Palo Verde, South Path 15 and North Path 15 to benefit Barclays' financial swap positions in those markets."
FERC also said four of the company's power traders - Daniel Brin, Scott Connelly, Karen Levine, and Ryan Smith - have 30 days to show why they should not be assessed a total of $18 million in civil penalties.

The Clicker: How?s your injured knee?
Shawn: It?s okay. I?m doing therapy each day trying to make it a little better.
The Clicker: It looked so scary when we saw it all swollen. Has the swelling gone down?
Shawn: Yeah. I?ve dealt with injuries for the last two years on and off. I?ve been through it all. I think I was more emotionally distraught than physically. I felt better once I got the pass from the doctor that it was just a sprain and I needed therapy.
The Clicker: How does it feel to be in fourth place with 84.5 points? Do you feel safe going into tonight?
Shawn: I know that I was happy with the dance. I think that for a ?country cha cha? we did pretty well. Derek was struggling with his neck today. I was struggling with my knee. I was happy we got through.
The Clicker: Derek said he was going to do next week?s dance especially for judge Len Goodman instead of tailoring it to what the viewers might like to see, but that?s also the week there are no fan votes! The judges? feelings will be even more vital.
Shawn: Yes, but I think any couple would do that.
The Clicker: Oh, yes. It?s a very smart, strategic move.
Shawn: Yes, strategically, Derek?s the smartest one out there.
(Note: ABC has since announced that plans have changed for next week's show. The judges will not eliminate a contestant next week. There will be a double elimination the following week with viewer votes factored in.)
The Clicker: Len doesn?t care for all the extras, but when your song has the word ?tractor? in the title ? well, you bring a tractor! ?
Shawn: Yes, I thought bringing a tractor suited our dance (on Monday). It?s country week. The song is ?She Thinks My Tractor?s Sexy.? If we?d gone for just a traditional cha cha I don?t think that it would have gone over well. We had to spice it up and have fun?and we did!
The Clicker: The video segments featuring the dancers and the stars have been less about doing activities and more about just showing you guys talk. Which do you prefer?
Shawn: They packages capture the genuine moments we have during conversations where we just talk about things. It?s more real than if something is staged, but we are still going places. This week, we?re going to the CMAs. I?m presenting the award to best vocal group of the year. It?s a dream come true!

PVH, which owns and makes formal wear and sportswear under the Calvin Klein brand, will gain the underwear and jeans businesses that have been under license to Warnaco since 1997.
PVH expects the combined businesses to generate $8 billion in revenue for the full year.
"Having direct global control of the two largest apparel categories for Calvin Klein -- jeans and underwear -- will allow us to unlock additional growth potential of this powerful designer brand," PVH Chief Executive Emanuel Chirico said in a statement on Wednesday.
Warnaco, which also sells products under brands such as Speedo, Chap, Warner's and Olga, operated 1,759 Calvin Klein retail stores worldwide as of December 31, 2011.
PVH, which also owns the Tommy Hilfiger brand, is offering Warnaco shareholders $51.75 in cash and 0.1822 of a share of PVH common stock for each Warnaco share.
Based on PVH's last closing stock price, the per share value of the deal is $68.43, a 34 percent premium over the last closing price of Warnaco common stock.
The deal value is based on Warnaco's 40.87 million shares outstanding as of August 1.
Warnaco's Calvin Klein businesses will be run by Tom Murry, chief executive of Calvin Klein, following the close of the deal in 2013.
PVH, which expects the deal to add 35 cents to adjusted earnings per share in the first year after it closes, said it will incur one-time costs of $175 million over three years.
PVH also said it expects its full-year profit to be at the top end of the range.
