Lesbian actress Leisha Hailey, who appeared on Showtime's The L Word, is calling for a boycott of Southwest Airlines after she says she was escorted off a flight for kissing her girlfriend.
"I have been discriminated against," Hailey Tweeted Monday after the airline removed her from a flight from Baltimore to St. Louis. "Since when is showing affection to someone you love illegal?"

Arguing via Twitter that a flight attendant told Hailey and her unidentified girlfriend passengers had complained about their PDA, the actress demanded an apology. "Hate is not a family value. I will never fly this airline," she Tweeted.
The airline issued a statement on their website late Monday after Hailey's string of Twitter postings.

"Initial reports indicate that we received several passenger complaints characterizing the behavior as excessive. Our crew, responsible for the comfort of all Customers on board, approached the passengers based solely on behavior and not gender," the statement read.
"We regret any circumstance where a passenger does not have a positive experience on Southwest and we are ready to work directly with the passengers involved to offer our heartfelt apologies for falling short of their expectation," the airline continued.
